Petrichor

supported by
Ronald Lindeboom

Ronald Lindeboom As a side note, the bassist of Renaissance, Jon Camp, brings his incredible bass skills to this project. His old Renaissance friends will want to pay special attention to this one -- especially the title track which has those monster Jon Camp melodic bass chops that are his trademark. Favorite track: Petrichor.

One man coming twice to see The part he left behind Endlessly the apathy comes drifting down the line All men come here twice to see the daughters left behind The fields and haze can dissipate the ghost of family life Live diminished infinity awaits beyond the field and grain look and leap affability will keep the personality inside copacetic infinity begins with ending the liturgy of our so human inclinations to live beyond our chosen time; this time of year, she comes One man coming twice to see The part he left behind Endlessly the apathy comes drifting down the line Live unfinished, all your days, beyond the hour the flowers made, remain try to mend the days that end With heavy heads and twilight in the clouds tend your life beyond the flowerbeds. Old man coming twice to see the part he left behind Endlessly the apathy comes drifting down the line Look and leap affability will keep the personality inside So live diminished infinity awaits Inside, if we live without mind Take a good look around and see your bad side Tend your life beyond the flowerbeds Tend to life beyond your head Tend your life beyond what’s been and gone before If you wait, it’s too late, it’s too late Begin, begin, begin to see the end

The Craft 06:34
What is left here to believe in, when magic doubts its own name? Contemporary alchemies replaced the unexplained. Tell ourselves that we still see with roses in our eyes… And conjure up excuses while we wait in line. Bewitch our lives again, pray to the god of nine to five and then, pray further to the god of content. Spellbind our modern hearts. Take my voice and my pride take all that I have left, cos I’ve got no voice and no pride, just the hole that magic left. Take my voice and my pride take all that I have left, when I’ve got no voice and no pride, I’ll have magic back again. Take the trees and brew possibilities with another paper potion Imbue the days with what your spellbooks say, and conjure things to speak devotions But forget the proles as disillusion grows that the magic words you sell us are less than those we once had, now we know that the money made the magic go. There’s magic in your hands There’s money failing that. There’s magic in your hands There’s money failing that. Save money if you can. Save money if you can. Save life if you can. Save money failing that.

Larkspur 07:53
How the larkspur begins to grow before the settled sediment can mend the yesteryear? How the leaf and petal yet can sing when wilting go the passers by who linger here? How could the willow sigh, for me today? How could you pause nothing at all? Between my heart and all the grass beyond a garden wall are better pastures trodden in pursuit of being promised more; Between the lights are cast the trees I fell - so grow the days In seeking out a question, I’ve cut the wood to line your grave. I mapped the path I took here but never marked my home in haste. How the blackwood hymnal sets a tone, so measured by significance to each and every tepid soul? How the ground might swell with time’s repast, soon reckoned to its starting form and by the grey stone marked. How could the willow sigh, for me today? How could you pause nothing at all? Between the life I could’ve settled for, and the one chosen am I caught and drawn, so quartered in decisions old? Between the plots of unfamiliar forms, so do I walk to see the bloom in full and question steps I took before. I mapped the path I travelled by but never found a home at all. Never, never (rpt) How could the willow sigh, for me today? How could you pause nothing at all?

Witchfinder 07:33
The day thins again, when the morning comes And the fallow faun lies rusting in the light. Beyond the glade, is made, a sign Amidst the shade, red blades of life. Beware the witch. The day ends with memories, of younger things Of a girl, who lay rusting like the deer. But fog can tell the stories well, but ne’er so well as she the one who hides between the saplings and the dead things, so I Look through the witchfinder’s lens. Look through the witchfinder’s lens. Behold the witch. This saprogenic aging facet of my heart will be atoned with all the forest’s lines and all it’s symmetry Although this odyssey, might take the toll of me, It’s all the sodomy revenge will bring these Days Days Days Another battle in the dark is made my ecstasy another change that I might take at least a part of these sins, that I accumulate, pursuing her of late, I’ll trade this life of mine if I can end her Days Days Days Beyond the light, beyond the sea, beyond the novelty these are the witches that plague us, the witchfinder sees Beyond the light, beyond the sea, beyond the novelty these are the witches that plague us, the witchfinder sees Beyond the light, beyond the sea, beyond the novelty these are the witches that plague us, the witchfinder sees Beyond the light, beyond the sea, beyond the novelty these are the witches that plague us, the witchfinder sees

Petrichor 12:11
How cruel are these days, to strip me of my senses? And all that remains is that memory of yours. Before the end of things, and the end of me, I’ll make sure I loved. Something. Once a lover always loved, once a fighter always fighting the waves, if only to remember me, will you remain. When I’m gone… Will you remain? Before I’ve explained, your eyes have done it for me… And all that remains is for me to clarify. And yet, this part of me, remains determined, see to show I loved, something. Once a lover always loved, once loved always yearning for the same. If only to remember me, will you remain? [whispered] How cruel are these days, to strip me of my senses? And all that remains is that memory of yours. Before the end of things, and the end of me, I’ll make sure I loved. Something. Once a lover always loved, once a fighter always fighting the waves, if only to remember me, will you remain. Memories are porcelain, brittle and painful to mend All that I said, and did, in life, was worth the effort spent After I’m gone, will you still say my name for the memories live on if you remain. So will you stay, for a minute? If only to sing this, again… So I can remain, here, for a minute After the rain.
